Our Ethics
All teachers, residents, and visitors at Clear Sky Center are asked to observe the Five Lay Buddhist Precepts while on the property. These precepts reflect ethical principles that are shared by many of the world’s major spiritual and religious traditions.
The Five Buddhist Precepts
I undertake to train myself to:
- Abstain from taking the life of living beings
- Abstain from taking that which is not freely given
- Abstain from sensual misconduct
- Abstain from unskillful speech
- Abstain from taking substances that cause intoxication to the point of heedlessness
Policy and Procedures for Reporting Sexual Misconduct
Your physical and psychological safety is important to us.
If you feel that sexual misconduct occurred during your stay, please contact our support committee. They are dedicated to upholding your anonymity, wellbeing and to finding supportive resolution.
