Life is busy.  Every day you face demands from work, family, finances, health.  While navigating through life’s daily challenges it can be difficult to pause and take a breath, to smell the roses, to rest in the moment.

Ecologial Grief and meditation in nature

In this four hour in-person retreat you will learn and practice ancient mindfulness techniques that will increase your ability to stay grounded and enlivened during work and at home.  Learn to tune into your senses to stay calm, present and peaceful no matter where you are.

What you can expect

Clear Sky’s 5 Principles are outstanding guiding principles helping us live in health and integrity. This program is an opportunity to practice them while being guided through a sense-based meditation retreat. If you are curious about the Clear Sky Center, or just feel the need for a guided afternoon retreat. Join us!

1.Honour your space  In this 4 hour retreat you will join the select group of hundreds of people who have honored the space we call Clear Sky by bringing focused attention, sincere practice and aspiration thereby honoring the space we inhabit and our time together.

2.Structure and routine This practice day creates a ritual which is lacking in many of our lives. Ritual is helpful for creating a space beyond words in which we can relax. 

3.Communication shapes the space where we meet We will guide you in meditating on the senses and you may be amazed at how being in a room with other people who are disciplined in their speech can create a healthy resonance in your being. 

4.Cleaning up big areas of your life frees up energy means you know the priorities for having a healthy, sustainable, generative life and you are implementing them as best as you can. Together we can support each other in this important work. 

5.It’s easier with others  Join us for this afternoon retreat and discover the power of meditation and exploring the senses with others.

Meet your Teacher

Dean Nicholson

Dean has a Masters in Counselling Psychology and over 37 years clinical counselling experience in mental health care.  

A meditation practitioner and resident at the Clear Sky Meditation Center, Dean is a student of Qapel Doug Duncan  and Catherine Pawasarat Sensei. Dean actively lives the healing practices he teaches his clients
