Donating Funds

'Dāna' is Sanskrit for 'generosity' or 'giving', one of the foundations of the path of transcendence; in this spirit, the teachings are offered free of charge.

Those who are inspired by the teachings are encouraged to give dana, an ancient Buddhist tradition of contributing so that others may also benefit, a sort of 'pay it forward' method of sharing the universal nutriment of wisdom and compassion.

In the context of traditional Dharma teaching, generosity is considered an indispensable aspect of spiritual development, as well as the basis for ongoing personal material abundance. Giving can only take place from a position of strength, and through dana the giver demonstrates personal power in action.

In historic Buddhism, the opportunity to generously support the teaching is considered precious, resulting in the popular saying: "May the donor be grateful".sft_small_logo
