Below is the procedure for making a donation to Clear Sky Meditation and Study Centre in US Funds and receive a tax-receipt.

General information regarding amount: Tides Foundation/ Tides Canada offers a receipt to those with US sourced income for a payment of 1,000 dollars or greater when it is processed through their U.S. affiliate in San Francisco, California. There is a 3% fee taken by Tides in order to process the payment and have it sent to Clear Sky.

It is important to include the purpose of the donation, for example, towards the mortgage, the teacher's residence etc

• Along with the form letter addressed to Darlene Currie, include a check in US Dollars for the amount of the donation taking into account that Tides will receive 3% of the amount given as a processing fee.
• If one sends 1,000 USD Clear Sky will receive the amount sent minus 3% or the equivalent of about 970 USD. If the intention was to donate a clear 1,000 dollars to Clear Sky, then $1,030 USD would be the amount to send.
• Personal checks are fine. While it says Tides will take 1.5% it is actually 3%. (This is the sum of Tides Foundation in the U.S. and Tides Canada.)
• The receipt arrived around one and a half or two months after the check was sent to Tides Foundation in the U.S.
