What an innovative, green, livable & efficient building! Kim Lenglet is doing an amazing job right now leading the construction -- through rain, snow and the freezing cold! What dedication -- the support of sangha everywhere is felt and much appreciated by the builders and those of us on-site.

peter quotel There is something very special in the atmosphere surrounding this lineage. Very ingrained, unproductive patterns in my life have slowly gotten chiseled away, and year after year I continue to be inspired by Doug Sensei and the legacy left by his teacher, Namgyal Rimpoche.

Annualized geo-solar heating system

This system collects heat in the summer and stores it in a heat sink under the ground. The heat rises slowly, so that July's heat re-enters the building during December. The system works almost passively and is designed to reduce heating costs, meeting both our environmental and financial bottom lines.

Native grasslands plugs and seeds for landscaping

Clear Sky is pioneering educational approaches to restoration of native grasslands on privately held land. Grasslands comprise less than 1% of BC's landbase and are home to more than one third of BC's endangered and at risk species. By landscaping with native grasslands we aim to offer an inspirational example of how buildings can harmonize with and improve the land of which it is a part.

peter quotel Clear Sky never ceases to demonstrate all our different levels of connection within and outside of our organization. Ever since I have been involved with Clear Sky I have wanted to support that which sustains and nourishes us. Learning about our 310 acres, this valley and our region has been such an enriching experience. I hope that these seedlings will provide ample learning and opportunities to reconnect with nature and our communities for years to come.
